About Us

Thanks for stopping by to get to know us! We are a husband and wife team, Erik and Sarah and we have worked together in business for most of our 25 years of married life. We think we make a pretty great team with Erik taking care of all the behind the scenes work and Sarah handling all the design, styling and organizing details. With Erik’s ability to fix or build almost anything, and Sarah’s attention to detail, creative design and leadership skills, they work together to bring you one-of-a-kind events.

When they are not busy designing, planning, cleaning dishes or moving furniture…you will find them hanging out with their kids, hosting or visiting with friends, windsurfing in Bonaire, relaxing on the beach, running on the nature trail or enjoying a good cup of coffee together. They both have a deep-rooted faith in Jesus Christ and this is what gives so much purpose and meaning to their life.

Our Story

It all really began with planning our daughter’s wedding in 2020. My husband and I realized how much work and organizing went into making such a special day happen. Entertaining and hospitality is never easy, it’s a ton of work, but something so necessary and healthy for us.  At the heart of this business is a love for family and togetherness. We hope to encourage and help all of you to have that special moment, celebrate with your loved ones, make memories together!

While we planned and designed our daughter’s wedding, we were having a difficult time finding the tabletop decor items we wanted from rental companies, so we shopped around and purchased them instead. Our original intentions were to use them for family and friends and possibly rent them out from time to time. Gradually we added new items and grew our inventory as well as adding more weddings and events. We are very excited to continue growing our business with you and can’t wait for what 2022 will bring!

Our Vision

Lakeshore Event Rentals is a boutique-style event rental shop with a unique and special collection of items; some are vintage thrift-store finds, others from local businesses and others from quality manufacturers all over the world. All of our products have been carefully curated and collected.

We are a full-service event company and what that means is we can look after everything involved with making your special event happen. We love to plan special events, but we also give you the flexibility to choose how involved you want us to be. We offer several different planning options and can also provide custom services. Whether it is the design, planning, styling, coordinating or setup and take down aspects you require help with, we’re here for any or all of it. Plus, we have the goods to make it all come together!

What brings us the most joy though, is seeing people gathered with their loved ones celebrating life’s special moments. So, no matter how small or large your gathering is, we would love to be a part of it!
